Okeechobee Campgrounds (other than KOA)
I've searched this web site and rvparkreviews.com for info but can't seem to find many comments about campgrounds on Lake Okeechobee other than the KOA. There are lots of them listed on rvparkfinder.net. I would just like hear what people have to say about some of them.
My husband and I would like to spend a week in early Feb 2009 in the Okeechobee area, after spending January in Ft Myers. We don't need cable and f/h/u. It's our first time in that area and we would like to be on the water and perhaps rent a boat for a day or so (since we won't have our bass boat with us).
Can anyone make recommendations? Thanks for any info you may provide.
BC Prov Parks, holiday weekend question
BC Prov Park policy states that on a holiday weekends you are required to reserve three days. If the holiday is on Monday, but the three days I want to reserve are Thurs, Fri, Sat (not staying until Monday)will that qualify me for the three day requirement?
Atlanta I-75 campground suggestions
We will be travelling through Atlanta on I-75 after Christmas on our way to Florida. We would like to stop in Atlanta for a couple days to visit the aquarium.
Assumption: We don't want to take our entire rig downtown to the aquarium, parking will most likely be limited...correct??
Does anyone have campground recommendations just off of I-75 we can base ourselves from and drive the dinghy into Atlanta to the aquarium? Atlanta South RV resort will be open I was wondering if anyone in familiar with this place and are there are other options?

We're in a 34 ft MH with toad. Plan to enter skyline drive through Luray on 211, staying at Big Meadows for several nights.
Leave skyline drive on 211 to Culpepper, 3 through Fedrerickburg to 301, over to Maryland. This way we avoid DC and the contruction ther
I've checked Mountains East, seems 211 has some steep grades and hairpin turns. Are these problems if we take our time, I'm sure others take these routes?
